Alina
got 5
wonderful
kittens.
Only 45
hours
after
they
were
born we
had one
injured
kitten.

In the
same
litter 2
Neva
Masqueradeboys
were
born.
This
came as
a big
surprise
to us
because
the
mother
Alina
Dostoyanie
Sibiri*RU was
tested
free for Colourpoint
gene. We
did know
that the
father
was a
carrier.
Cathrine
& Dag
has
never
been
against
using
carriers
because
many
carriers
have a
very
good
type.
This
litter
was not
planned
and we
did not
know
that
Alina
was
going to
have
kittens
until a
few
weeks
before
she
delivered.
We did
not plan
to use
her in
breeding
anymore
because
her
lines
are so
unstable.
She has
given
kittens
with a
light
and
narrow
body,
but also
cats of
good
type.
Only
experienced
breeders
should
develop
this
kind of
foundation
lines. The only
litter
that was
planned
was Yarisha
and
Ermitage`s
babyes.
After
this
boys
were
born we
had to
investigate
were the
neva
gene
came
from.
Because
2
carriers
are
needed
in order
to get a
Neva
Masquerade
kitten
we had
to look
behind
Alinas
lines.
Alinas
father
AND
grandfather
is Yasha,
one of
our
Foundation
Cats.
Wow,
there
must be
many
carriers
in
Traditional
Catteries
when
Yasha
carries
the
Colourpoint
gene. As
we told
before
Yasha is
Father
and
Grandfather
to Alina.
She is a
heavy
inbreeded
cat with
Yasha
lines.
Alina
has
stayed
with us
since
2005 and
she has
always
been a
healthy
cat.
The
kittens
are now
2 weeks
and our
Nevaboys
are the
biggest
kittens
in the
litter.
Cirkumpolare
IS
a
Traditional
Cattery
and we
will
stay
that
way. It
is a
fact
that we
got 2
Neva
kittens
in our N-litter
for the
first
time.
This
Neva
boys are
of
traditional
Krasnoyarsk
lines
and
Moscow
lines.
As we
have
written
before
this
litter
was not
planned,
and we
did
indeed
not plan
to have
Neva
kittens.
We think
that
this
experience
have
given us
good
knowledge
in how
to breed
Traditional
Siberians
of
forest
type.
We are
so sorry
and have
to say
to all
of you
with all
your
theories.
Cirkumpolare
is more
traditional
than
ever
before,
but we
have a
better
conclusion
in what
to breed
on. This
information
is
published
because
we are
open
about
what
happens
in our
cattery.
Ermitage
is now
neutered
and
Alina
will be
neutered
to.
This
boys
will be
sold
with a
pedigree
in TICA
as the
rest of
the
litter.
